My appointment window was for 8am-10am the next morning after I called. Scotty, called before he arrived and was very professional the whole time. He explained everything thoroughly and also took pictures inside the opener so we could see exactly what he was referring to. We ended up replacing our opener, but before doing so, Scotty gave us choices and explained the differences between each one. Thank you Scotty for taking pride in what you do and not assuming that everybody knows about garage door openers.

Let me first say our technician was wonderful. Highly recommend I needed to get two springs installed. That went great The price was $600. I consider that to be well silly I did pay it but not sure I would use these guys again They were great but the price is too high

After reviewing the ticket for your job, I see that you were quoted for two platinum, high cycle, powder coated springs. Our springs are higher quality and have a typical life span that is 3-4 times longer than springs our competitors sell. Our technicians review the quote with customers on every call before any work is done, so in case there are questions, they can get answered before work is started. From quote to finished install was about a week! Very professional process. They replaced everything (opened, tracks, doors, even the weatherstripping seals outside). No upselling, just service. I chose Precision when I saw their TV Commercial. I called the same day I saw their commercial and Precision sent a technician to my home that day to resolve my problem. Their customer service was outstanding and their customer representative, Scotty, was prompt, extremely courteous, LiftMaster knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions about the system and even programmed my car system to open the garage doors. On a scale of 1-10, Precision rates a 10 without question.

Son in law couldn’t open garage door while we were out of country. Said he may have hit the # sign instead of enter Sign and wondered if he somehow changed code. I had no idea how to change code. The pad worked to close door but just would not work to open with code. Was hoping since I was a long time customer you might have suggested how to check the code or change it back if it had been changed by mistake. Technician looked at it and said the pad looked old and they wear out quickly. But the new one would work with any new motor if we needed one later. Made it sound like a better pad. I said ok to new pad and was totally surprised when the replacement was the exact same as old one and when he told me how to put in the code, he told me to do the exact thing that I told him my son in law said he had done that might have changed the code. So he up sold me to the tune of $284 when he could have simply said try this and see if it works. Give him a star for the up sale, but mark me off as a future customer and I will tell as many people about this as I possibly can. Totally feel victimized!!!!’

Based on the inspection your keypad failed and the recommendation was to replace it. Some keypads we have look the same as the old one but the updated version has updated internal parts that the old one did not, which would, like the technician said, make it work with any future motors you might purchase. Having just purchased a home, we found the 16' Garage Door was noisy,and the door opener did not have the capability to link with vehicles. I called Precision to set up service and possibly a new door/opener replacement evaluation. Technician Greg Grey visited the very next day. He was VERY thorough. He showed how when using the manual release, the door was clearly unbalanced (would immediately drop closed instead of remaining at the position set) and the 1/3 HP door opener was set to Max level 10, indicating the springs/rollers were not doing their job. He gave the quote to rebuild the door and replace the door opener with a current 1/2 HP model capable of not only linking with the vehicles but also WiFi enabled via MyQ App. I asked for a quote for a new door and Greg brought in samples of non insulated / partially insulated (core filled with Expanded Polystyrene I believe) / and fully insulated (core filled with Extruded Polystyrene which has a higher R value). As we'd just moved to the neighborhood, we wanted to ensure a new door would match those in the community for looks and style to keep within HOA guidelines. Greg was very patient in helping us through the process and we chose a new Amarr Hillcrest 3000 insulated door with an R value of around 9.05 if I remember correctly. He also installed a new Liftmaster 8355W door opener, helped program the vehicles, and walked me through how to set up the MyQ App on my iPhone 11 and test it. Greg was very thorough, extremely professional, and instilled a sense of trust in us. If you're in the market for a professional team, we'd HIGHLY recommend Precision Garage Door of the Triangle!!!

I have a Precision Garage opener, model 370, and I had a appt with Pecision. Mike showed up and he said that this model has a common problem with the commuter board but he didnt have one with him and didnt know if there was one back at the shop, if it was it could be approx $200. I was told I would be contacted the next day, it's been a week now and no contact. His visit still cost me $75, don't pay any attention to the ads on TV. I guess since they couldnt upgrade me to the $800 garage opener I wasnt important to them anymore. I went to Lowe's and bought a nicer one for $200, w/ wifi, and installed it myself. I can say they did help me make a better decision for myself. Thanks. I was later contacted and refunded my service fee. Thank you
Mr Lawrence, We are sorry that you haven't had contact with our office during the holiday season. In a normal week/month I can assure you this would not have happened. I've spoken to the technician and he explained that your board was not under warranty through Precision and advised you he would check to see if we had any boards at our warehouse that would work. He admittedly stated he forgot to call you back and make you aware of the fact we did not have the board you needed.
