Had a problem with our garage door and called Precision Garage Door Service, Since I am constantly moving stuff in and out of the garage and didn't want to be stuck with the door open all night, I needed somebody to come quickly. I called at about 7:00 and Richard was there by 10:15. Turns out the problem wasn't severe and he had the system back up and running in 1/2 hour. Took a quick look at the total system to see if there were any other problems. There weren't and after a pleasant chat about Chicago, where we both grew up, he was on his way. They are definitely in my "who to call for house repair" folder for future reference.

The Technician, Richard, was spectacular and explained everything with the springs and door load along with typical maintenance issues associated with direct drive door openers and where to find parts. Richard, the tech, inspected the door and saw the issue with the door windows frame. He advised that the plastic frame could not be replaced, no longer manufactured, that it is simply decorative, and I should consider replacing regular glass with plexiglass for safety. He was very thorough with his inspection and explanation. He also provided an estimate for door replacement. I’m going to try to replace the glass for now, but appreciate knowing the cost to replace the door if needed.
