I found your company through Google! When scheduling an appointment it was really easy and quick! No problems during this process. The technician (Richard) arrived promptly and was knowledgeable. This was my initial appointment and dealings with this company. I was able to upgrade the equipment necessary for garage doors to properly open and close. My doors are 8 years old and had not had any problems as of yet! But I had been hearing a different noise when raising and closing garage doors. Prayerfully I received great and accurate service that should carry me for several years to come! Several neighbors approached technician while he was working and hopefully they will be future customers. Thank you!!

When my garage door got "hung up" (off its tracks), I called Precision (in Morrisville, NC) and was impressed that they sent out a service tech that afternoon. Richard (the tech) did a great job at realigning our door quickly and proficiently. When I mentioned the possibility of replacing the door, he was able to transition into an effective salesperson for his company, providing brochures, advice, and even a quote immediately. I did request, and receive, a few other estimates from other companies. While Precision's estimate was about $700 more than the next nearest estimate, I decided to go with Precision because of the excellent customer service I received from Richard. That's when it all went south. A week after receiving the quote, I tried calling the local franchisee, only to be directed to the national customer service center. First call, I was disconnected after being on hold for ten minutes. Second call, I was directed to a button prompt system that wouldn't recognize button presses. Third call, I finally got through to a rep who connected me to the local office, though I was put on the same "hold" system for another ten minutes before I gave up. Not wanting to give up on Precision, I reached out to Richard (who had the foresight to give me a business card with his cell phone number when I first met him). He explained how the GM and Sales Manager were both off that day, and that the manager left in the office was pretty new at the job and wouldn't be able to handle my questions. I was told I'd get a call back on Monday. That was two weeks ago. I haven't talked with any one from the company since Richard. It's hard to underestimate the frustration of TRYING TO PURCHASE FROM A LOCAL COMPANY, only to be stymied the entire way. It's really a shame. My experience with the service tech (Richard) couldn't have gone better, and for that reason alone, I was willing to pay the highest quote for a replacement garage door. However, the rest of my experience with Precision told me that they were an unreliable company, at least as it referred to sales. Frankly, if they were the LOWEST quote, I still wouldn't use them again. Blessings to Precision if they're so busy and successful that they can simply ignore a new customer trying to purchase a $4000 garage door. However, if they aren't that lucky, they should consider hiring Richard to be the face of the franchise. He truly understands the increasingly-rare skills of customer service. Interestingly, in the email I received soliciting this review, the owner of the franchise said, "If for any reason you are not totally satisfied, I would consider it a favor if you called and gave me the opportunity to redress the situation." Unfortunately, that strategy only works if you take me up on that opportunity to redress the situation. I get that a business only wants positive reviews, but I hope that this business understands how they failed to earn that and takes steps to address these shortcomings.

Mr. McCann was awesome. All of the parts needed and extent of labor was explained so I could understand. Richard is a great ambassador of Precision. The only disappoint was the cost of repairs…. $1550 Tell Richard ‘thanks’!!

Called at 230p and service tech arrived at 5p on the same day. He knew exactly what the problem was and had it fixed in minutes. That kind of service is standard for these folks. A few years ago I called at 9a and by 5pm that same day they had installed two new garage door openers. Great products, great folks.

I was surprised that someone could come out to fix my broken door so quickly, and over the weekend! Richard was on time, called ahead to let me know he was on his way, and explained everything really well including the different options available to fix my system. He resolved my problem and cleaned up his job site before reviewing with me through the work he did. Couldn't ask for anything more. Really pleased with the whole experience start to finish.

I was very satisfied with the service technician Richard M. He was dealing with a truck breakdown and called us to inform that he would be delayed in coming. Within 2 minutes he resolved the keypad issue by showing me how to replace the battery. Our existing remotes were very old and one of them did not work. He then provided us two new remotes and programmed them. He only charged us for the service call and not the new remotes.

I have a 20 yr old garage door opener and all door hardware that was installed by Precision Door in Chapel Hill area. I’ve had several service calls for spring replacements and today I had a new belt installed. The technician, Mr McCann was phenomenal. 5 stars + He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and kind. He explained options. Did not attempt to update anything. He was thorough and quick with the belt replacement and maintenance was provided to the rest of my system. I wholeheartedly continue to recommend Precision Door for all my garage door needs. Excellent service, excellent company.

Our home was built in 1994. It had a Genie chain drive garage door opener. After 29 years of noisy but dependable service, we selected Precision to upgrade the system with a Lift Master top of the line belt drive unit. For a premium price, it provided very quiet service and came with a warranty. One year later, it quit working. The service technician quickly identified the problem as a broken or defective wire. No problem, all the wiring was replaced within 30 minutes and I was given a bill for $203. It turns out the installer used the previous 29 year old wiring when upgrading to the new system. Apparently, this a common problem when replacing garage door openers. No warranty credit. Suggestion: When replacing units, replace the wiring and warranty the work. It is a minimal cost item and only takes a few minutes to accomplish. It will also improve customer relations. Both of the service techs were courteous, qualified and efficient.

The hinge on our garage door broke and we had to manually close and open it. We called Precision and they came out the very next day. They assessed the issue and showed us our options, which we appreciated. They also reinforced the other loose hardware that we didn’t realize were loosed.
