My house was built in 2013 -- garage door itself is like new and not the problem but the hardware associated with it over time failed (normal wear and tear usage). Spring broke late evening and I called (Holly) at Precision she was excellent, listened to my problem and scheduled me for the next day. Chris arrived in a timely manner after calling me per my request 30 minutes prior to arrival at my home for the repair. He not only identified the obvious broken spring but visually showed me other areas that needed immediate attention (very in depth visual inspection and eye opening to myself). Replaced everything recommended by this very knowledgeable Technician and Very Satisfied with the out come. Chris not only made my door operate smoothly and quietly that day but gave me a (FREE) eyes on inspection 1 year from the date of repair to insure all repairs were holding to their value. Being retired military (cross the T's dot the I's) and working currently at a major car dealership (Facility Manager position) -- I was impressed at the training and knowledge of every department I delt with at Precision -- High recommendation of this company to anyone that needs any garage door service, repair or replacement. THE PRICE WAS JUSTIFIED TO THE AMOUNT OF REPAIR -- Thank You Presision

I called Precision door company normally they have been very helpful in helping me with my garage door if something does not work. I have always had a very good experience with Precision and I can even call back a few of the guys that have helped me in the past. Gary is always great to work with. However, this time I called because the garage door would not open all the way or close. The tech came out and it was the cable that had broke. I was not informed nor aware I could purchased just the cable and have it installed by a friend, or just have the cable replaced. The tech just said it needed a new cable and it comes with the rail, I asked the price, and was shocked, a tiny discount was offered, and the total cost was 441.00, that took less than 20 minutes. My issue is this - I called Gary and asked him about all of this and asked why wasn't I offered another solution to order the part which normally at any Home Depot, Lowes or on line the price is about 50.00. Which would have saved me almost 400.00. I am definitely not happy with the service or the tech that came out, he even tried to offer me a new motor for a total of over 800.00. It isn't even quiet. The tech just kept telling me my motor is old and I should get a new one. The tech also informed me when I purchased the garage doors and now they are more than double the price of what I paid. Not sure what all this had to do with getting a cable fixed on the garage door opener. Now, I just purchased another garage door opener - a Chamberlain MYQ with all the bells and whistles the whole unit, (with a motor 1/2 hp of course) for under 200.00, had it installed and it is much quieter than the one Precision put in. Having spend 441.00 of my money could have been avoided had the tech been a very honest and sincere person. I am 74 years old, senior, retired and party of one, felt like I was taken advantage of. Feel free to refund my full amount and take out the rail/cable that was not necessary and I'll get a whole new unit for half the price installed, and a more updated version. That's my problem solved. Great experience from start to finish! The rep/technician, Chris, came the same day that I called. He assessed the situation and discussed options with me. I chose to have both openers replaced, so we scheduled a date for the service. I think he would have done the service that initial visit day, but I decided to do both doors instead of just one, which took more time. He arrived right on schedule the day of the installation and finished in the time frame promised. I'm enjoying my quieter doors that no longer jerk when opening--I couldn't be more pleased!

The entire process from booking the appointment to completion of the work could not have been easier. Using the web based app, I was able to make the appointment at my convenience without issue. From there, I was kept informed and reminded of my upcoming service call. The technician Chris, arrived on time and was courteous and professional. Fast and amazing service. I requested help online in the evening and someone was out the following first half of the day.
