While I appreciate an advance call from a technician telling me how I should just replace the garage door keypad myself and save some money, clearly that isn’t something I felt comfortable doing. Hence why I called you all in the first place. If a customer doesn’t take you up on the offer of just ‘doing it themselves’ the first or second time, it probably doesn’t make sense to state it a third and fourth time; just adding to the frustration. In the end, yes it was fixed the day I called; hence the three stars. But based on this interaction, I would not recommend this company.

Five stars for the service rep. Professional, friendly, and fast. He did a great job. One star for the company. Was not told over the phone that a new garage door keypad to be installed would cost $250. Was also not told that I would get charged $75 just for the service rep showing up. Once he told me $250 I almost turned him away but then he said you're going to get charged $75 just for me showing up. Was told that it has to be a special type of keypad entry system and that I couldn't get one at the store. Would not recommend this company at this time. Very disappointed in their billing practices.

The call center that handles our scheduling is who you spoke with first. They are supposed to advise you of the $75.00 service fee that will be charged if work is not performed, but would be waived if work is performed. This is a standard fee that almost all service companies charge. All of our calls are recorded so we listened. We apologize that she did not inform you of the fee as she should have and we will address that with the call center. The price of the Marantec keypad wasn't discussed on the call at all. The call center wouldn't have had the pricing for that key pad to provide even if you did ask because they aren't at the job site and wouldn't know what to offer you. As you mentioned in the call, a generic keypad will not work for your motor. We have to specifically order Marantec items to keep in stock to service customers like yourself who have that particular opener. Again, we are sorry you're unhappy with the price and if you would like to discuss further, please call and speak with our service manager.

I had a GREAT experience with Precision Garage Door from the estimate with Gary to the installation with Jackson and Andrew. We received 3 other estimates and Precision was not only the least expensive, but also offered more options than the competitors and never pushed me to commit or tried to upsell me on anything. Precision was also the only company with a "mobile showroom" so I was able to see and touch and compare actual samples of the products they offered from the doors of varying color with different levels on insulation to the openers. They were even able to show me the openers running so I could compare the amount of noise each one made. Jackson and Andrew were early for the installation and finished installing the new door and opener and all new components and mounts in less than 3 hours. Another service they provided that no other company offered was installing matching trim to ensure a good seal with the new door. This was included at no additional cost. They removed my old chewed up trim, installed the new trim and caulked the entire thing. They even touched up a few minor scratches on the new door before leaving and installed an upgraded seal at the bottom of the door because the one that came on the door did not seal perfectly. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Precision. I would give 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend them for garage door service in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Precision Garage Door of Raleigh came to our house and quickly diagnosed the problem with our garage door. The service person gave me options and discussed them thoroughly enough for me to decide to have them replace the door. The installation went quickly and the service person was very knowledgeable and friendly. Though I didn't like the overall cost of the installation, I am pretty confident we have a good product. Update (10/7/22)... We have tried calling a couple of times because we had questions, but we could not reach anyone. Will try to call again but it is a little bit of an annoyance. But liking the install still.
