First of all, most excellent response time - I called the office early in the AM - scheduled from 12 to 4. Service tech arrived later in the AM. Big thank you! Backed into the garage door, knocked 8 rollers out of the track. Mr Scotty Johnson showed up, looked at the door and determined that it was all good. Bing, bang, and a boom the double door was back on track and functioning perfectly. As an aside, the door popped one of the side finishing strips with the wind gaskets off - no sweat, Scotty stapled it back on - all's well with my door. Scotty recommended rollers with a longer shaft which will, hopefully extend the life of the door. Scotty called earlier than expected, which was a big plus. Courteous, and professional - a most awesome service representative of Precision Garage Door.

I used Precision Garage Door Service after reading the reviews and watching the commercials. I used there service because my garage door stopped working and they had a technician out the next day. Scotty Johnson the technician diagnosed the problem and had the garage door opener fixed in under an hour. I would highly recommend anyone that has issues with their garage door or openers to use there service. Thanks again for an outstanding job.

We had an emergency situation with our garage door not closing. After my husband’s numerous attempts to resolve the issue, he finally decided to contact a professional. He found Precision on his Google search, contacted them and they sent someone out within a few hours. He was very knowledgeable and efficient in repairing the garage door and even suggested an additional part to reinforce the middle of the door. Even though we didn’t add the addition to our repair bill, he was nice enough to tell us where we could purchase an alternative to provide some support. We are very pleased with the service we received.

I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get me an appointment that same morning . Alex was able to be at our house within an hour. He was pleasant and nice and took the time to look over everything. He not only explained what the problem was, he took the time to show me exactly what he was talking about to ensure I was not being mislead. We even purchased and installed a new opener while he was here even though the old one probably would of given us a few more years out of it. Alex never pushed anything on us. I appreciate the courtesy and it was a pleasure to have Alex perform our service.

Called because I had a torsion spring snap. I was told $95 for service fee plus $150-300 for a replacement torsion spring. Ended up with a $1600+ invoice. Go somewhere where they are completely up front on costs before any work is started. I do not recommend this business. My family felt completely taken advantage of.

I was very pleased with the level on professionalism, knowledge, and customer service exhibited by Scotty Johnson. Unfortunately, our 21 year old garage door opener had failed completely and could not be repaired. Scotty was thorough in explaining options and helping me make informed decisions on replacements. The lady who scheduled my appointment with the technician early this morning was professional and friendly. Thomas called within the window of time she had given me to say he was enroute. He diagnosed my garage door problem immediately and resolved my minor issue. He answered my questions about maintenance, was courteous, professional, and was all done within approximately 3 hours of my call to the company. When my garage door got "hung up" (off its tracks), I called Precision (in Morrisville, NC) and was impressed that they sent out a service tech that afternoon. Richard (the tech) did a great job at realigning our door quickly and proficiently. When I mentioned the possibility of replacing the door, he was able to transition into an effective salesperson for his company, providing brochures, advice, and even a quote immediately. I did request, and receive, a few other estimates from other companies. While Precision's estimate was about $700 more than the next nearest estimate, I decided to go with Precision because of the excellent customer service I received from Richard. That's when it all went south. A week after receiving the quote, I tried calling the local franchisee, only to be directed to the national customer service center. First call, I was disconnected after being on hold for ten minutes. Second call, I was directed to a button prompt system that wouldn't recognize button presses. Third call, I finally got through to a rep who connected me to the local office, though I was put on the same "hold" system for another ten minutes before I gave up. Not wanting to give up on Precision, I reached out to Richard (who had the foresight to give me a business card with his cell phone number when I first met him). He explained how the GM and Sales Manager were both off that day, and that the manager left in the office was pretty new at the job and wouldn't be able to handle my questions. I was told I'd get a call back on Monday. That was two weeks ago. I haven't talked with any one from the company since Richard. It's hard to underestimate the frustration of TRYING TO PURCHASE FROM A LOCAL COMPANY, only to be stymied the entire way. It's really a shame. My experience with the service tech (Richard) couldn't have gone better, and for that reason alone, I was willing to pay the highest quote for a replacement garage door. However, the rest of my experience with Precision told me that they were an unreliable company, at least as it referred to sales. Frankly, if they were the LOWEST quote, I still wouldn't use them again. Blessings to Precision if they're so busy and successful that they can simply ignore a new customer trying to purchase a $4000 garage door. However, if they aren't that lucky, they should consider hiring Richard to be the face of the franchise. He truly understands the increasingly-rare skills of customer service. Interestingly, in the email I received soliciting this review, the owner of the franchise said, "If for any reason you are not totally satisfied, I would consider it a favor if you called and gave me the opportunity to redress the situation." Unfortunately, that strategy only works if you take me up on that opportunity to redress the situation. I get that a business only wants positive reviews, but I hope that this business understands how they failed to earn that and takes steps to address these shortcomings.
