The technician was great, service as well. I got an estimate from the office for repairs and the response was $200-350 per spring repair. The technician then quoted me $1,300, $1,600, or $1,900 based on level of service. 2-3X the email estimate. I challenged the technician and he said I had two springs and they would also need to replace the wires and bearings. He was very qualified, but I was frustrated to expect a repair of $600-700 and then the lowest repair quoted felt like an upsell instead of basic repair.

We called Precision to repair a broken spring. We were able to setup an appointment the next day. The service Tech Ricky was timely, friendly and just wanted to make sure we understood all the steps of the process. He gave us a quote which we could do all things he was recommending or just parts. The time to fix was very reasonable. At the end of the repair he walked us through all the things he did. He shows the parts that were replaced and good thing we decided to replace our cables as they were really we’re ready to good. So thanks for the though inspection. I will continue to us Precision for all our properties moving forward.

Sharing my experience with Precision Garage Door Service of Raleigh. 2 stars, only for the prompt response. Not calling or recommending Precision to anyone for sure. My garage door was derailed and the tension string came off from the pulley/drum. The door was half open and I could not take the car out. I called Precision based on Google reviews. Chris came and told my wife that the door is broken and needs complete replacement. He said $95 for diagnostic which will be rolled into the repair cost, $300 for 1 time door open and close to get the car out, $3000 for door replacement. Prices w/o taxes. We were shocked as the door had no damage. I called Ben from Bens Garage Door. He came, fixed the door, and charged me $150 total. In addition, he sprayed anti-rust and lubed the door hinges for free of charge. He said the door is fine and does not need any replacement. 150 vs 3000, you be the judge.

As we discussed during the visit, the bottom style of your door was bent. For safety reasons, we do not recommend bending it back into place, as this compromises the structural integrity of the door. Also, as discussed, we unfortunately do not carry your specific brand of replacement panels, which limited our repair options we could provide you. Offering a new door was the safest and most reliable solution we could provide. Thank you for your business and please keep us in mind should you need any future repair needs. I was able to schedule a same day appointment online to have someone come out and look at our garage door that wasn’t opening. Technician Evan Kopel came out quickly, assessed the issue and offered us a solution. He quickly replaced the springs in the opener and when completed we discussed with him replacing the opener unit which he was able to do on the spot. He was informative and did excellent work.
