I chose Precision when I saw their TV Commercial. I called the same day I saw their commercial and Precision sent a technician to my home that day to resolve my problem. Their customer service was outstanding and their customer representative, Scotty, was prompt, extremely courteous, LiftMaster knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions about the system and even programmed my car system to open the garage doors. On a scale of 1-10, Precision rates a 10 without question.

I called yesterday because our garage door was making worrisome noises and sagging. The scheduler offered an appointment the same day but I had to defer it until this morning. Andy called and offered to come early after finishing the prior job sooner than expected, which worked out well. He was very professional and courteous, did an inspection, pointed out a broken spring I had overlooked and other issues, and explained the choices available. I elected to go with every option offered, and two hours later have a well-functioning door with new springs, new rod, new drums, new bearings, new cables, new rollers, new door seal, added bracing, etc. I'm looking forward to many more years of good service from the door, and the price was fair. - A very satisfied customer

******UPDATE****** After posting the above review, I was contacted by Precision. There was a $250 mistake made in the initial bill which was corrected. In addition, in an effort to improve customer satisfaction an additional credit was also applied reducing the total bill to just under $900. As a result of the follow-up activities, I have adjusted the review to 3 stars. ++++++++++++original one star review++++++++++ The process to engage Precision was great and smooth. Excellent communication and timely response. However, the positives STOP THERE. When the tech arrived, it was upselling at every turn. Suddenly the cost skyrocketed first to $950 then another nearly $400 on top of that! The final bill was more than $1000 higher than any previous spring replacement I have had done. I contacted the company immediately afterward but have not had any response. I am astounded at the overall cost and will not be using this company again. Caveat emptor!

Son in law couldn’t open garage door while we were out of country. Said he may have hit the # sign instead of enter Sign and wondered if he somehow changed code. I had no idea how to change code. The pad worked to close door but just would not work to open with code. Was hoping since I was a long time customer you might have suggested how to check the code or change it back if it had been changed by mistake. Technician looked at it and said the pad looked old and they wear out quickly. But the new one would work with any new motor if we needed one later. Made it sound like a better pad. I said ok to new pad and was totally surprised when the replacement was the exact same as old one and when he told me how to put in the code, he told me to do the exact thing that I told him my son in law said he had done that might have changed the code. So he up sold me to the tune of $284 when he could have simply said try this and see if it works. Give him a star for the up sale, but mark me off as a future customer and I will tell as many people about this as I possibly can. Totally feel victimized!!!!’

I contacted Precision Garage Door at the # listed in my area and was given an appointment for a technician to come out. I had already determined the problem was a broken spring on my 16' door. I told the person that answered the phone that I needed a spring replaced. I guess that is where I went wrong to the tune of a $75, no service, service call. I should have just asked for a free estimate instead of giving them a heads up on the problem. The technician was courteous and prompt and I do not fault him for the lame business policy/practices of Precision Garage Door. To be clear, the technician never touched my door! He did measure the size and then started giving me the bad news. $500 to replace both springs, he said I also needed a new bar that the springs attach to and also new wheels that contain the bearings on each side. They offer a "tune up" on your door for $899. To replace the door with new hardware and using my existing lift motor would be $3K!!! I asked to see some of the doors they offered and he went back to his vehicle and returned with 2 sheets of door info. He said he had talked to his manager and if I replaced the springs now, to get me operating, they would give me partial credit on a new door if I agreed to have it done within the next couple of months. I told him I wanted to think about it. At that time, he said he needed to collect a $75 service call fee. I reminded him that he performed NO service and I did not feel that I owed him for a service call, as he really only quoted me what I felt were exorbitant prices. He said the $75 would be taken off any future work. I paid the fee reluctantly, as it was not this young mans policy, but a poor customer service structure of this company. I was informed of the $75 service fee when I called BUT I did not feel I should be obligated to pay when no service was involved. I called another local company, recommended to me by 2 of my neighbors, and he fixed my problem for a fraction of what Precision wanted. I am very dissatisfied with Precision, I feel like I was taken for $75 for absolutely no service and not even a written estimate for a new door. I will tell everyone I know with a garage door, NEVER call Precision Garage Door!!! If I could rate them with "Negative" Stars that is what I would do.

Having just purchased a home, we found the 16' Garage Door was noisy,and the door opener did not have the capability to link with vehicles. I called Precision to set up service and possibly a new door/opener replacement evaluation. Technician Greg Grey visited the very next day. He was VERY thorough. He showed how when using the manual release, the door was clearly unbalanced (would immediately drop closed instead of remaining at the position set) and the 1/3 HP door opener was set to Max level 10, indicating the springs/rollers were not doing their job. He gave the quote to rebuild the door and replace the door opener with a current 1/2 HP model capable of not only linking with the vehicles but also WiFi enabled via MyQ App. I asked for a quote for a new door and Greg brought in samples of non insulated / partially insulated (core filled with Expanded Polystyrene I believe) / and fully insulated (core filled with Extruded Polystyrene which has a higher R value). As we'd just moved to the neighborhood, we wanted to ensure a new door would match those in the community for looks and style to keep within HOA guidelines. Greg was very patient in helping us through the process and we chose a new Amarr Hillcrest 3000 insulated door with an R value of around 9.05 if I remember correctly. He also installed a new Liftmaster 8355W door opener, helped program the vehicles, and walked me through how to set up the MyQ App on my iPhone 11 and test it. Greg was very thorough, extremely professional, and instilled a sense of trust in us. If you're in the market for a professional team, we'd HIGHLY recommend Precision Garage Door of the Triangle!!!
