Sunday afternoon one of our garage door springs broke, making this rather heavy door inoperable. Called Precision around 5pm (on a Sunday) had a technician on site in a little over an hour. Richard McCann handled our problem quickly. His vast knowledge and eye for detail is a great asset to Precision. Scheduling was easy and the response time was great. Richard called prior to his visit and was able to diagnose the primary issue over the phone. Based on that conversation, he was able to show up with the required part and make the repair in one visit versus 2. He worked quickly and was very courteous and professional. I had a GREAT experience with Precision Garage Door from the estimate with Gary to the installation with Jackson and Andrew. We received 3 other estimates and Precision was not only the least expensive, but also offered more options than the competitors and never pushed me to commit or tried to upsell me on anything. Precision was also the only company with a "mobile showroom" so I was able to see and touch and compare actual samples of the products they offered from the doors of varying color with different levels on insulation to the openers. They were even able to show me the openers running so I could compare the amount of noise each one made. Jackson and Andrew were early for the installation and finished installing the new door and opener and all new components and mounts in less than 3 hours. Another service they provided that no other company offered was installing matching trim to ensure a good seal with the new door. This was included at no additional cost. They removed my old chewed up trim, installed the new trim and caulked the entire thing. They even touched up a few minor scratches on the new door before leaving and installed an upgraded seal at the bottom of the door because the one that came on the door did not seal perfectly. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Precision. I would give 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend them for garage door service in the Raleigh/Durham area.

PRECISION DOOR ‘s technician, Gregg, has been to my home on two occasions to work on my malfunctioning garage door and opener. Gregg is an excellent technician and repairman. Have been using Precision Door Service for a few years. I have a very heavy garage door and the spring has broken a few times. The spring is under warranty so I've never had to pay for parts to get it replaced. Note that Precision doesn't make the spring, so I can't blame them for it breaking. But they're responsive and come out very quickly to replace it.

So expensive it'll make your eyes water. I had my garage door opener break and was charged $2,360 for replacement parts and a new garage opener. This seemed wildly expensive so I emailed customer support asking for an itemized receipt but it's been two weeks and I never heard back. Just for reference, I looked up the model number of the opener they sold me and it retails for $336 (keep in mind that's customer retail so they'd get it cheaper with a reseller agreement) and they charged me $1000 for the same model! The door now works, but I'd recommend shopping around for a company that won't take advantage of you.
