I have been a customer of Precision Door for over fifteen years. My garage door failed yesterday afternoon. The failure also prevented the manual release from allowing me to open the door and remove my car. I called Precision Door and they were prepared to send out a tech that evening to correct the problem. Instead, I opted for early this morning and the tech arrived promptly within the window they gave me. Parts were replaced and the problem was resolved in a minimum of time. This is the level of service that i have grown to rely on from Precision Door and they always come through. When you own a home, you learn to identify the businesses that offer the best service. He kindly explained the problem in detail and found the problem within 10 minutes after he arrived. He was very experienced and knowledgeable. The spring on my Wayne Dalton garage door broke. I should have called Wayne Dalton, but instead I made the mistake of googling for garage repair thinking it would be cheaper. This company is responsive, and it's clear that's how they make money. They have an answering service, so when you call, don't expect to have a technical conversation over the phone. The good news is that I was able to get a same day appointment. The technician, Cliff, confirmed my spring broke, but then quoted me $738 to repair it. Why so much? He was going to completely replace the torsion bar and 2 new springs rather than replace the broken spring. Why? He told my wife the parts weren't available. When I talked to him over the phone he said the parts aren't standard and said the quality was poor. Of course, I owed them a $75 service fee for being nice enough to provide an outrageous quote. After ending my call with Cliff, I called Wayne Dalton. They said labor was $100 and some change, and the part was another $100 and change, totaling less than $300 for the repair. They certainly aren't as prompt, but at less than half the price, it's a no brainer. I reached out to Cliff asking if he could get the part and install it. I also reached out to the owner to explain the situation requesting they install the part or refund my $75. I have yet to hear a reply from either. I'd only recommend this company if you need a quick fix and are willing to over pay. Update 11/29/2017: I never heard back from Cliff, but I did hear back from the owner yesterday saying she'll refund the service call fee. I've bumped my review by 1 star as a result. I still believe they aren't very ethical with their pricing and wouldn't recommend them unless you need your door fixed asap.

I was unable to open our garage door electronically or manually. Precision provided same day service on a Sunday evening and did not charge extra for a weekend call. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly explained the issue. They also discounted their service call fee from $75 to $39 since I discovered them on Angie's list. Fees seemed reasonable as well!

They were great! I called on Monday afternoon and they came out Tuesday morning! That was due to my need to push back the appointment, not them. The technician Greg came within the designated time slot, and immediately knew what the issue was. We had to have a spring replaced, but we have a great warranty on it and he was able to fix everything then and there! Hopefully I won't need a garage door repair again, but if I ever do I will definitely use them again!
