Our garage door spring broke, and within a few short hours, Precision Door completed the repairs. Kody was very professional, explained our options, and completed the repairs in a timely fashion. Precision garage door came to our house to change out the broken spring we had. The door was still functioning with one broken spring. The pros about their service is that they have excellent response time. Infact for us they came on the same day which we really appreciated. Second pro is that they are really quick in getting the job done. On the cons side watch out on the pricing the technician is giving you for the parts. Our job was a $680 job and when I did some research I realized that I was waaaaay over charged for the parts. How can each spring be $165 and each roller be $21. Price on Amazon for similar parts which come with a lifetime warranty is $130 for a set of 2 springs and the tools needed to change them. Set of 10 rollers is under $40 and not the $210 that they charged me. If they stop the price gouging on parts I would give them a 5 star rating but I feel paying 500% more for rollers and almost 250% more for springs is out of line on good business practices.

I called Precision because I saw the 5 Star rating and the good reviews. When I made the appt. I explained that very recently every couple of days, my door would not fully close. There was no issue with it opening. It would do this a couple of times then resume normally. When the technician arrived, he operated the door but unfortunately could not replicate the issue I was having. The door opened and closed without issue. So, he began adjusting the limit switches on the motor to the point where the door would not fully open or close. Then he began to loosen and tighten the chain to no avail. He also checked for "dust" on the top of the motor near the bearing but said it was ok. He repeatedly tried opening and closing the door again to no avail. He said he had not seen this issue before now. He then made a call to his Superior. What he told me was that his Superior asked him to check for dust again and this time he found dust on top of the area near the gear box and bearing. He told me that the part would cost about $200, IF that was the issue. Then he said his Superior told him that it could possibly be the mother board in the motor. That would also be about $200, IF that was the issue OR it may be Both the Gear/Bearing issue AND the Board issue. Then he explained that getting an entirely new system would be not much more than the "combo" repair. $670. He continued multiple times to make the same adjustments as before until the door and motor had stopped working completely. He felt the bottom of the motor and said that it was hot and that if a motor gets too hot then it would stop working. Duh, Seriously?? Garage doors probably aren't supposed to be worked that hard that fast. I am sure that the dozens of times he opened and closed the door consecutively in a short span of time did not help and did wear down the gears and motor. My door was working for the most part before he arrived and now it would not work at all. I was totally perplexed and taken back. I was at a loss for words for a moment. He then showed me the quotes for the "3" types of repairs, 2 of which "might" fix the problem as I was told. I was asked to initial his ipad saying that his work here was complete. THAT was a huge mistake on my part. To my discouragement, I had to manually close my door when he left. So, I called the next day and explained what happened yesterday and the very polite and professional lady said they were going to send out a different technician today between 4 and 6pm. The new technician Cody, who was also polite and professional, called prior to arriving and asked me about the issues with the door. I explained the door issues and what the technician did yesterday. He told me that he would be glad to come out and repair the door but that it truly sounded like it would need a new system and that the company would ask for payment immediately once the work was done. I told him I completely understood the billing process and I was not going to make him the "middle man" with my broken door system. I cancelled his appt. Next I received an email to ask for a review on my service. At the bottom of the email, it says that if anything was unsatisfactory, email Michelle Cromwell directly. I emailed her and explained everything in detail and asked her for her advice and/or help with my situation. I put my phone number in the email as well. It has been over a week with NO REPLY from her. I called 2 days ago and was told they would send a message to her to please contact me about my issue. 24hrs later, No response. So, I called back and the "Manager" told the operator to tell me they were waiting for Ms. Cromwell to them what to do about it. I asked to speak to the Manager and was told that he/she "just left for a meeting". People make mistakes and people are busy. I get that. It happens. But evidently in my case, to totally disregard my repeated requests for contact, I going out on a limb and saying that Accountability and Customer Service are a Zero Priority with Ms. Cromwell and Precision when something goes wrong. My garage door spring broke on Friday night and I had to travel Sunday night. Scheduled to have to door fixed Sunday morning. Kody was early, made some good recommendations, and knocked out the repair in short order. Excellent knowledge and service.

Precision was able to make a service schedule for me that least impacted my work hours. The tech who arrived, Kody, was so courteous and very knowlegeable. He was able to provide the repair I needed in order to make the door able to be used manually while ordering a new door and motor that would arrive at a later date. July 22, 2017 Precision Garage Door Service of NC was able to get to my house on the same day my garage door cable broke. That meant a lot because my door was stuck in an open position. Gary Gray came to my rescue. He was extremely polite, very informative about what I needed and explained why. He completed the replacement of what was needed to repair my garage door in a timely manner. I also chose to have most of the same things done to my other door, because of its age and I felt as if I got a good deal on doing both at the same time. I even got a lifetime warranty! After my garage had a broken spring, I called late in the evening and they were able to get me an early appointment the next day. The technician came out, evaluated the condition of my garage door, and was able to point out a few other pieces that were close to breaking as well. He gave me the options of what we could do, and in the end I had him replace all the load bearing pieces in addition to the springs. He was incredibly fast, completing the job in under an hour. Great service, and my garage door works (and sounds) better than when I first bought the house. I would use this group again, but I don't expect to have a need to for a very long time.

My garage door stopped working at 730 pm on a Saturday evening. I called Precision and a technician was out by 8:15pm. Aaron was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things. This repair could not have come at the worst possible time, but I am happy with the service and results. I give it 4 stars because the price seems on the high side. I did not have time to shop around. I had a motor and two springs replaced for 984.50. The life time warranty is a added bonus, so maybe that's why the price seems on the high side. Overall I am very satisfied with the results.

Great experience all around. Tried to leave for work and garage door wouldn't open. Called Precision Garage Door Service and they were at my house in less than an hour. Kody was very helpful in explaining the problem, my options and answering my questions. Service was quick with a great warranty included.
