Justin was great! Called ahead of time to let me know he was coming. Walked me through everything I needed to know about the door and fixed the issues we were having. Ended up getting new springs and rollers and maintenance on the door and now it’s as good as new! Much quieter and safer! 10 out of 10 would recommend Precision, especially Justin!

I was very pleased with their responsiveness and the tech that came out (Richard) was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. However, in my opinion, the cost to replace my 2 springs and cables was stupid expensive and I’m kicking myself for not shopping around more. I was prepared to pay a certain price based on the loose estimate I was given over the phone but the options I was given by the tech before the work started easily exceeded that. I should have paid the service fee and gone elsewhere, so shame on me. Looking at the price of the parts on Amazon, which I assume this company gets for the same amount or less from whoever their supplier is, you get an idea of the massive markup and labor that is added in. I felt a bit “screwed” all day yesterday and it was the first thing I thought about this morning so it still stings. Good, quick work for sure as I certainly didn’t want to mess w/ dangerous springs having not worked with them before, so I paid for that, but will definitely shop around next time.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and calling us to service your garage door. We did review your account and listened to the recorded call. The scheduler advised you that the price per spring could be between $88.00- $249.00. You were charged $249 per spring and the spring you approved was one of the powder coated, heavy duty, high cycle springs, so they are of course the most expensive of the quoted price. You also had cables replaced and a tune up done on your door which was part of the cost. All of these items/prices were discussed with you and approved before work was started. We completely understand you can find items online for cheaper, but they are not always the same quality as what we purchase to provide our customers. We never want a customer to fee "screwed" which is why the quote is discussed in detail before we start work so you have the option to approve it and move forward, or decline it and seek quotes from other companies. We are happy we could help repair your garage door and we're always here if you need us in the future.

I would not use Precision Door Service again. One of the torsion springs broke on our overhead double door. Precision Door Service charged us $750 to replace the pair of springs, which took the technician less than 40-minutes total. When I questioned/ pushed back on the cost, which was about 2x what I expected, the technician told me the springs cost them over $250 each! I later called four other garage door businesses and learned the going rate for this common repair averages $375 total, and our standard springs cost around $100 each. After calling Friday morning, they refunded me $350 to bring their cost in line. I learned from my calling around that this is an often repeated scenario with this company - and the ease and routine manner of the refund bore this out.
Thank you for your business and we are very sorry to see that you felt you received 1 star service. We apologize for the communication issue with the technician and we are happy to see that the service manager was able to take care of the refund for you. Customer satisfaction is our top goal and we are sorry we didn't meet this goal with you. We hope that we can work with you again in the future to prove this isn't how we operate our business. First what I liked: Tim the installer was great. Their office staff was also helpful too being able to quickly schedule an appointment for next day which is also appreciated. The company knows what it’s doing, and has the necessary gear on the truck to fix the problem. Not a situation where they have to come back. They arrived at 8 and left at 10:30 with the problem solved. What I didn’t like: the value proposition was a little rough. I get that having an office staff, truck, materials on hand etc all costs money and at the end you will pay for that as a consumer, but paying so much for some metal and a couple of hours of labor doesn’t feel great. My suspicion is that if you were willing as a consumer to deal with the hassle of shopping around and maybe waiting an extra day or two for repair that some money could be saved.

Desperately needed emergency help (residential) well after normal hours to get the garage (2 car) door functioning again. Called Precision at 7:30 pm and was pleasantly surprised to be able to get an appt for 10 pm that very evening. Richard McCann came to the rescue. Richard assessed the situation quickly, provided options to resolve the problems and once a plan was chosen, was extremely efficient in completing the work by midnight ; ( replaced 2 springs, installed new safety cables, new lift motor and track, etc.) Quite impressive , indeed. I highly recommend Precision ( and Richard) for your garage door repair needs.

I’m not happy at all. I called Precision thinking I would pay the $75 trip charge and would get my garage door motor fixed, but was told it would cost me $149 to put in a new circuit board because I had already ordered it straight from Liftmaster and their were no guarantees it would work. They said I could pay $600+ for a new garage door motor with a 4 year guarantee, so I just paid the $75 trip charge and did it myself. The commercial for Precision looks grea and professional, but I wasn’t impressed with the customer service I received.
