First, let me say, I rarely post these types of reviews; however, the exceptional service recently received by Precision Door Cary/Apex/Morrisville warrants otherwise. Being an ongoing customer, Precision continues to respond quickly and schedules same day appointments. The genuine customer focused approach displayed by senior technician Andy Maynard, made the difference. He was able to assess our issue and explained the complexity of the issue with simplicity. Of utmost importance, he appropriately positioned cost and completed the job in a minimal amount of time. Approximately two weeks later, something occurred that prevented the door from functioning properly. Again the call to Precision paralleled with a request for Andy Maynard resulted in a prompt scheduling of an appointment and yes - Andy Maynard was dispatched. The service "after the sale" and commitment for personal excellence and customer satisfaction left a strong positive impression. Precision's commitment exhibited by a technician such as Andy Maynard is a key and significant measure of what separates a good company from an exceptional company. We ordered new doors 5 weeks ago with Andy saying it would take 2-4 weeks. Still haven’t heard anything. There’s a slight disconnect on when doors come in and what your reps are telling people.

Hi Ashely, I am very disappointed and frustrated with your service, I feel like got cheated and ripped off. I have Wayne Dalton garage doors which was installed by builder and looks like having issue with torsion springs. Your service guy mentioned these springs cannot be replaced at all and we must completely change everything and quoted around $2,250. I asked him few times to confirm if it is possible to just replace springs, and he said no it cannot be done and only option is to replace everything and that's what we do for everyone. I believed him and paid it. Later found out that Torque master torsion springs can be replaced just for $500. I believe you guys are completely dishonest and unfair, I called your company to diagnose the issue, if you guys don't have the parts to replace or if you don't do maintenance on Wayne Dalton system, you need to mention we don't do it, so that I could have called Wayne Dalton company for service or someone else who can do the job. I could have fixed it for around $500 instead I paid around $2,300. I called your company and told them what happened, and they gave refund of around $800. I certainly appreciate that, but it would be nice if you are fair to customers. Thanks, Ajay

We have used Precision for twenty years. Our garage was doors have experienced only minor problems during this time but Precision has always responded quickly and made needed repairs efficiently and cost effectively. Our recent request was to address the doors not automatically reversing. Andy arrived the same day, identified the issue, and made the repair. You know that sinking feeling—you pull into the driveway after a long day, hit the garage door opener, and… nothing. Just silence and disappointment. That was my Tuesday night. I first called the company listed on the opener unit, thinking, "They’ll know what to do!" Instead, I was told I needed to troubleshoot the issue myself, snap some pictures, and maybe—just maybe—they’d send someone out (eventually). Oh, and by the way, their vans don't carry all the parts. Not exactly the help I was hoping for. So I called Precision. Total game-changer. Not only did they say they could have someone out that same day between 4 and 8 PM, but the technician, Andy Maynard, actually arrived early—at 3 PM! He quickly diagnosed the problem, clearly explained my options (with zero pressure or pushy upsells), and had the new part installed in no time. By that evening, my garage door was back in action and my car was happily tucked into its cozy little parking spot like nothing ever happened. Friendly, fast, professional—and honestly, a relief after the earlier runaround. Huge thanks to Andy and the Precision team. Would absolutely call them again!

I had a really good experience with Precision. Our garage door gave out after about 20 years of use. They were very responsive and came out the next day. Andy Maynard was very easy to work with, knowledgable, professional, and also sensitive to our budget concerns. He diagnosed the problem and walked us through several options, including repair vs replacement, with a no-pressure approach. We decided to replace the door (insulated steel door) and will schedule service as soon as it arrives. He and a colleague were also able to lift the door as my wife and I could not open it, which allowed us to get our second car out. That was a big help! It has been very easy to work with Precision, and it’s been a very good experience so far!
