He answered all my questions and completed the services quickly. Precision installed my doors in 2010 and this is the 2nd time they have serviced them. The technician took seconds to look at the garage door and made an immediate assessment that it could not be repaired but needed to be totally replaced. He also implied that the door should not be opened as it was totally unsafe, which pressured us to feel we needed to replace the door. However, we contacted a second company whose technician inspected the door for 15 minutes then gave us a complete breakdown of the problems and gave us an estimate for the repairs. He repaired the door in 70 minutes and the cost was 1/3 of what you quoted for replacement. We felt as though he was honored to serve us and did so professionally and financially. First appearances are very important. Thank you!

I would not use Precision Door Service again. One of the torsion springs broke on our overhead double door. Precision Door Service charged us $750 to replace the pair of springs, which took the technician less than 40-minutes total. When I questioned/ pushed back on the cost, which was about 2x what I expected, the technician told me the springs cost them over $250 each! I later called four other garage door businesses and learned the going rate for this common repair averages $375 total, and our standard springs cost around $100 each. After calling Friday morning, they refunded me $350 to bring their cost in line. I learned from my calling around that this is an often repeated scenario with this company - and the ease and routine manner of the refund bore this out.
