Had a problem with our garage door and called Precision Garage Door Service, Since I am constantly moving stuff in and out of the garage and didn't want to be stuck with the door open all night, I needed somebody to come quickly. I called at about 7:00 and Richard was there by 10:15. Turns out the problem wasn't severe and he had the system back up and running in 1/2 hour. Took a quick look at the total system to see if there were any other problems. There weren't and after a pleasant chat about Chicago, where we both grew up, he was on his way. They are definitely in my "who to call for house repair" folder for future reference.

We were having an issue with our garage door opener so I called Precision Garage Door Service as we have used them in the past. They scheduled us in a timely manner and sent a tech - Ryan our to give us an evaluation. He found the problem right away. He not only fixed the problem with the opener, but also checked out the door and the whole system to make sure everything was working smoothly. My double door sagged in the center such that a small gap to the ground was visible on both ends of the door. I called precision to provide a quote because they replaced the door at my last house and I was happy with the work. When the two guys arrived they barely looked at the door and told me I needed a new door. The door I have is a nice wooden door that has no rotting, cracking, or any other defects. If I were to replace this door with one of equal quality it would be a custom door ~$10,000. I expressed doubt about this proposal but was assured there was nothing that could be done. I nearly agreed to replace the door but decided to get a second opinion from a competitor. This was a good choice because the competitor essentially just did a tune up to realign the door and replaced a few worn components. Fast forward 6 months and the door still has no gaps and works like a charm. I spent $400 instead of buying a brand new door. I mentioned that precision replaced the door at my last house. I can’t help but wonder if it was even necessary at that time or if this company’s strategy is to solve all mechanical failures by replacing the entire door. Edit: fast forward 4 years and still no problems with the door. Edit #2 (response to precision garage): What do you mean you don’t have me in your system? You then say you do have a record of “servicing” me in 2022…Yes, the “service” you provided in 2022 is precisely the situation I’ve described in this review and I also have the paper trail to prove it (see attached image). Trying to discredit my review only worsens my opinion of your business.

Our garage motor quit working. I called precision. Chris arrived 2 hours later. He provided 3 different options and pricing. Chris replaced the motor, belt and serviced the door. He also reprogramed all remotes. Great job!

I’ve called on Precision Garage Door Service of Morrisville NC to repair or improve our garage door in every home we’ve owned. They’ve always been prompt, courteous and professional. Last week, I asked for service to check out the noisy garage door in our most recent home. John Patton came out, identified the problem and fixed it. The garage door sounds so much better now! Not only that, but I noticed later that he tacked up the sealant strip that had come loose on the outside of the garage door. I called Precision Garage Door Service with a question and concern regarding our garage door opener. They scheduled a technician to come the next day. My garage door stopped halfway up and got stuck, and my car was locked in the garage. They came out and showed me exactly what was wrong and I asked other slew of other questions about the noise because my garage door sounded like a dying animal every time it went up and down, and they replaced the rollers with ones that had ball bearings, and the technician also offered other options for my second garage door, which had not been working for eight years. He performed most of the fixes right then and there and I was able to get my car out that afternoon. They came back the next day and installed two brand new motors and belt drives That are so quiet and wonderful. I am thrilled with their customer service, timeliness, precision, and attention to detail.
