Greg with Precision Overhead Garage Door did an awesome job replacing the tension springs on both of our garage doors. He explained to us and showed us why the doors failed (the house is only 7 years old) and then showed us the parts that were going to replace the broken springs. The new springs were 5 times the size of the existing springs. No wonder the door felt so heavy when trying to lift it. He explained to us that once he was finished the door would stay where you lifted it and you will be able to lift it with 1 finger. He was so right. I did not realize how dangerous the doors were prior to being fixed. He also replaced all the track wheels as well. Now the door is so quiet and smooth opening and shutting. Thank you so much Greg! Excellent work!!!! Definitely a 5 star job and 5 star service!

On Thanksgiving Day, a torsion spring broke on our garage door, we contacted the company who installed the garage door 14 years ago; It took three weeks for them to come out to replace the torsion springs. They did not even, do a service check on any other component, although they did say, it was a 14 year old system, things are going to break. We knew the lift was near end of life and we needed a reliable company to come out to service our garage door and its components, and install a new lift. We did a google search and Precision came up as the number 1 garage door company in our area. From the time we made the call to schedule an appointment for service with Precision, we were impressed with their professionalism, politeness and knowledge, and willingness to accommodate our schedule. Enter Justin, he was as polite, knowledgeable, and professional as you could ever wish for. He took time to explain to both my husband and me the options available for replacing the lift and refurbishing the door components. He had all parts available on his truck as was able to complete the job within 3 hours. When he was finished with the installation, he assisted with setting up the MyQ app on my smartphone, along with syncing our vehicles to the new lift. Our experience was exceptional, will definitely refer Precision to anyone needing garage door repair.

Precision Garage Door for my repair for two reasons. The first being their prompt response and secondly for their courteous and knowledgeable employees. Greg was on time, knowledgeable and honest! He had my door working in approximately an hour! The reason for the 3 stars 1) no 24 hour service available 2) Greg wanted to install springs that were too weak for my door and then take parts off the door until it worked Note: I was willing to replace; springs, rollers, cables and drums 3) $375 in labor for approximately an hour of labor “pricey”! IMHO

He is an experienced technician so what might take a new technician longer, he is able to do in a timely manner and be respectful of your time, as well as other customers on the schedule. The service he provided was to get your door operating again as it was not operable and he reset your cables and re-tensioned your springs. Greg stated he did recommend a parts upgrade as your existing springs are too weak/small for your heavy door and the cables, bearings, and shaft failed the 25 point inspection, but you declined the recommendation at this time. If you change your mind and would like to move forward with the additional work, please don't hesitate to call us.
