Precision was very responsive and courteous from my initial phone call through satisfactory completion of my service request. The technician, Greg, was extremely helpful in assessing the condition of all components of my 33 year old 18’ wide garage door. He explained various options and offered professional advice. I elected to have him replace torsion springs, shaft, bearings, cables, rollers, cable reels, and to lubricate all hinges. The door now operates quieter and more smoothly than when it was new. He adjusted my existing garage door operator and verified all safety features. I highly recommend Precision Door.

On December 3 Precision Overhead Doors came out to my house and gave me a quote to replace the broken springs on my garage door (2 car door). They explained that as a part of repairing the springs, they had to rebuild the torque tube and it would cost $1,170. I thought that was high so I asked, is that the best you can do. They said yes. I’m not in the garage repair business, so I trusted what the rep said. He finished the job in just about an hour and a half or so. The next day I talked to my dad and called the company who was due to come out that Monday. They both told me, that I got overcharged by a lot! Both said the job shouldn’t have exceeded $400 max. The other company even went so far as to say, I was the fourth or fifth person they had heard this from regarding Precision Doors. I then did more research and saw that $400 was about the right price. I reached out the rep who did my service and let him know how unhappy I was and asked for a partial refund. He said no, then when I provided credible challenge, he said I’m just a worker I don’t determine pricing. He said he would have his boss call me, haven’t heard from him. My next step is to engage the States Attorney’s office and the Better Business Bureau.

Ripped off. Charged $700 for replacing two springs and rollers, which others are charging $300-400. Made mistake of not getting quotes from others as I did not want to call others because of COVID-19. This people are taking advantage of situations. Will never work with Precision and will never recommend to others.

We never do any work before the quote is explained and customers have time to ask any questions, whether it be about the price, parts, warranty, etc, which is when you could have voiced your concern about the price. You did approve the work and the price when it was discussed with you and that price included 2 heavy duty, high cycle, powder coated springs, 10 rollers and a 5 year warranty on parts with a 1 year warranty on labor. Our prices are competitive with other companies, when you actually compare the same products and warranty when you obtain other quotes. We have different types of springs which all have different costs, and most other companies would have the same, so calling and just asking for a price and not for a price to match exactly what you got, would not provide you with accurate information. We are a reputable company which you can see from our many 5 star reviews, and we would never take advantage of a customer. Ripped off. Changed both springs and rollers, charged me $700. My mistake did not get estimate from others. When I spoke to other Garage door repair guy, he gave me estimate fo changing both the springs and roller for $400. Be careful to get the garage door repair with Precision.

I had an issue with my garage door and Greg from Precision was at my house on a Saturday night until midnight. I was so excited he had fixed my garage door so I could get my car out of the garage. I noticed the next day that something was not quite level. Since it was dark the night before we did not notice it earlier. I called and Greg was able to come back the next day and fix the issue. He was very nice and apologetic that he had missed the issue the first time but I told him that we had all missed it in the dark. Before he left today we checked inside and out and it is as good as new. I would definitely recommend Greg and Precision for your garage door needs.
