I don't recommend Precision Garage Door Service. When I called to make an appointment for service, I was not told that they can not get parts for Wayne Dalton brand. So, I was told I may need logic board but since we don't fix Wayne Dalton. You need to complete a new garage door opener. If I know they don't support or fix Wayne Dalton I won't even go with this company. Make sure they support your brand before making an appointment.
We are sorry for the confusion. We do in fact work on Wayne Dalton doors not motors. If in the future you need service on your door, we would love to earn your business.

The technician from Precision said my garage panel needed to replaced and gave me an estimate of $1400. When I asked him whether it could be fixed without replacement he said no - that wasn't possible. Well luckily I called Garage door specialists, and their technician was able to fix my door without replacing any panel - just for $90 !! So to folks out there - I would advise to get a second opinion before going with Precision.

This week we had Precision Garage Door Service (Morrisville, NC) install two Liftmaster 8550W garage door openers with MyQ and battery backup to our home, and we are highly satisfied. The technician was Cliff Waddell, and Cliff was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond in making sure that everything relating to the installation was done to our 100% satisfaction, and he was very meticulous in ensuring that his work was done right the first time. The 8550W is super amazingly quiet, and is a DC motor. All the remotes were programmed properly by Cliff, and he also did a fantastic job in performing some other repair work on the garage doors, as well as doing a torsion overhaul on one of the garage doors. All in all, I would highly recommend Precision Garage Door Service (which is a national brand with local franchises), and in particular would say that you should definitely ask for Cliff, who is super smart and experienced when it comes to all things relating to garage doors. We have been using them for over 10 years, with great results. Also, the "smart" features of the 8550W work very well, and the MyQ system is built-into the garage door opener itself, with no need for a separate MyQ Smart Garage Hub, MyQ Home Bridge, or My-Q Door Sensors. While not cheap, I believe that the 8550W is the best garage door opener on the market, and getting it installed properly should be a major priority. We also had Liftmaster Automatic Door Locks (841LM) added to the installation, and they work like a deadbolt (but even better, since they work automatically) to securely lock the garage doors. So, call Precision Garage Door Service, ask for Cliff, and you will not regret it!

Ms. Jordan, I have investigated this situation in an effort to be sure this doesn't happen again. You were given an arrival window of 6-8 pm. The technician got tied up on a job prior to yours and called you to let you know he would be arriving in the later part of that time frame. At that point you decided to cancel your appointment rather than risk having the technician arrive later than you had planned. Your decision is completely understandable! However, I feel that we did our best to keep you informed and keep the lines of communication open rather than to make you wait without knowing what was happening. I hope you understand that from time to time a job takes longer than expected, and all we can do is keep our customers informed and give them the opportunity to cancel or reschedule. I highly recommend Kody from Precision Garage Door. I had initially contacted a local garage company that left me an estimate and I wanted to get a second opinion. Kody called me prior to the free estimate and heard my concerns. He came on time and evaluated the situation. He was able to fix the issue for my garage door (at no cost) and called me and thoroughly explained the situation. Very happy with their recent service to my garage door. Greg was very professional and very nice. he diagnosed the problem and offered the solution right away. And their charge was very reasonable. I regret that I had not used them sooner. From now on, for garage door issues, I will stick with Precision Door Service (never go back to the company like Garage Door Service (GDS) - over charge and not resolve the issue entirely)

Had my door installed several years ago and a part came off. Greg Gray, the technician, told me it was under warranty and would be repaired. I would have had no idea unless Greg had told me. They even replaced the defective part with a much better replacement. I would never go anywhere else for a garage door again.

I have been a customer of Precision Door for over fifteen years. My garage door failed yesterday afternoon. The failure also prevented the manual release from allowing me to open the door and remove my car. I called Precision Door and they were prepared to send out a tech that evening to correct the problem. Instead, I opted for early this morning and the tech arrived promptly within the window they gave me. Parts were replaced and the problem was resolved in a minimum of time. This is the level of service that i have grown to rely on from Precision Door and they always come through. When you own a home, you learn to identify the businesses that offer the best service.
