Hi Ashely, I am very disappointed and frustrated with your service, I feel like got cheated and ripped off. I have Wayne Dalton garage doors which was installed by builder and looks like having issue with torsion springs. Your service guy mentioned these springs cannot be replaced at all and we must completely change everything and quoted around $2,250. I asked him few times to confirm if it is possible to just replace springs, and he said no it cannot be done and only option is to replace everything and that's what we do for everyone. I believed him and paid it. Later found out that Torque master torsion springs can be replaced just for $500. I believe you guys are completely dishonest and unfair, I called your company to diagnose the issue, if you guys don't have the parts to replace or if you don't do maintenance on Wayne Dalton system, you need to mention we don't do it, so that I could have called Wayne Dalton company for service or someone else who can do the job. I could have fixed it for around $500 instead I paid around $2,300. I called your company and told them what happened, and they gave refund of around $800. I certainly appreciate that, but it would be nice if you are fair to customers. Thanks, Ajay
Hi there! We appreciate all feedback and are always striving to ensure our customers are satisfied with both the quality of our work and the value they receive. Our technician thoroughly reviewed the scope of work needed to safely and effectively convert your Wayne Dalton TMS spring system to a standard torsion system—a necessary conversion due to the proprietary nature of TMS systems. You were provided a detailed estimate beforehand, and you signed off on the work before any repairs began. We truly understand your feedback and feelings. As we have discussed and worked through, a refund was issued, and we want you to know we are here for you. We are always looking to do quality work and an honest job with our customers. If there is anything else youd like to discuss, please reach out directly to us. Thanks again, we appreciate your feedback and for working together!

It started out strong with a quick response to my email inquiry and had someone at my house same day to check out some damage we incurred to one of our doors. Aaron showed up and inspected the damage and said he would work on a quote to replace the panel. While he was there, I also asked him about replacing panels on 3 of our detached garage doors, verbalized my wishes for window panels and he showed me some photos. I picked one that I liked and was pretty excited to have the work completed. He told me he would send the information to his guy and then text me with an update on a quote as soon as possible. I text him a couple days after his visit and didn't get a response... never heard from Precision again. After I was ghosted by Aaron, I called the previous company I had used for service (which he spoke poorly of) and they came out same day, repaired my door (without having to replace it as Aaron had suggested) and have already provided me with a quote for the work on the other 3 doors. All that to say, I was pretty disappointed in the lack of communication and service from a highly renowned business and kindly took my money elsewhere.
Wonderful to hear and see this review! Thank you for the thoughtful and kind review and words. We appreciate you sharing, supporting and choosing our Precision Garage Door Service crew. Have a great week!

Very poor experience, I would recommend staying away from them. The technician checked out and initially said everything was fine on my garage door and said it only needs to be reprogrammed and said it would be $150, plus the $95 inspection fee. They advertise saying the $95 diagnostic fees goes towards any services and then in 10 mins the technician said the sensors are not working and it would be $350. It was fishy and looked like they wanted to scam additional $$$.
Hi there, please reach out to our team directly to discuss this further. We take great pride in our team and our customers and want to make sure everything is discussed and sorted out. We pride ourselves on honesty and clear communication. There are certainly no scams happening here, Vikram. Thank you for sharing and thank you for reaching out directly. Have a good evening!

Don’t drive out to a customer’s location to tell them that “we don’t service that manufacturer’s equipment. That will be $100 service charge” … for an $1800 estimate. I called the OEM printed on the door. For free. I had all the information needed that they didn’t ask for on the dispatch. Update: Representative reached out for more information. They agreed that they should make more effort on website and phone call back that they do not service the Wayne Dalton door. I was able to order the replacement parts from DDM Garage Doors delivered for $200. If you can change the oil on your car, you have sufficient skills to replace the springs on a Wayne Dalton door.
Hello! While we are disappointed to see this and hear this we appreciate you reaching out, Luna. Thank you! Please be sure to reach out to us to discuss this further. Thanks again, we appreciate you sharing. Have a great weekend!

Ask the customer what manufacturer of the door is before dispatching a tech. $100 to be told they don’t work on that should have been free.

Service: Broken Garage Door Spring Repair
Garage door was intermittently not shutting, throwing a 10 blink code. I had to go out of town two days later and wanted it fixed before I left so that the family wasn’t inconvenienced. Tech showed up, told me I had a bad sprocket on the head unit and that it needed to be replaced, and that my springs needed to be replaced too as they were undersized. Miraculously while the tech was there the door opener started working properly. I told him not to touch it, and that I wanted to conclude the service call. The tech did tighten my chain by an inch or so, as it was loose. He charged me $261 for a tune up which was $99, and I am not sure what the other charge was for? I asked the tech and he said that’s just what the charge is…I said whatever, wrote the check and off he went. Fast forward to today, and the opener started exhibiting the same problem, with 10x blinks, so I googled it, and it said that the safety sensors were misaligned or dirty. After some investigating, one of the two wires at the sensor was intermittently making contact. So I stripped it back, secured it into the wire nut, and the problem went away entirely. I’m just trying to figure out why I was being quoted a new head unit, and a new pair of springs for $1500+ when the problem was a simple cut wire, and the tech spent no time investigating the actual problem.

I would give zero no star if i could very dishonest technician. My uncle is a retired veteran his garage door will not open. The technician come and say his spring broke and need to replace for over $1000 that is ridiculous because i call different company they give a rough estimate $450-$650 depends on the size of the spring. So the technician/owner from a different company came and find out the spring is fine not broken. The reason the garage door will not open because the thing is disconnect from the motor. They reconnect for him at no charge. Stay away from Precision Garage Door Service dishonest and over charge.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Very dishonest. Tried to charge me over $2k to replace springs on my double size garage door. Another company charged me just a fraction of that. Also, they try to box you in by charging $99 (non-refundable) just to show up, and charge you an additional 3% if you pay with credit card. They may delete this review from their website. If not, please beware and shop around instead

Ripped off after seeing actual invoice. $415 for 10 roller bearings that may have cost $50 at the most when looking on Lowe’s
Hi there! We appreciate your feedback and for reaching out. We spoke with our internal team just now and were made aware that our team and you have been in consistent communication, and you have shared your concerns over the pricing and we have worked to discuss in depth, provide support and have even just credited you a $450 credit. Thus, there will be no further discounts as this has been the cost and then some as we discussed. Please reach out if you have any further concerns or feedback. We're always more than happy to help and make sure we are supporting our customers fairly. Thanks! Have a great weekend, T!

The estimate was several times higher than an average from other companies in the area. The recommendation included a lot of unnecessary parts replacement. I paid $101.89 for the trip for nothing! Never use your service again!

I have no problem with the work they do. This is a big company with dispatchers and a lot of overhead. I needed a new remote control programmed and an old-one reprogrammed. Had trouble doing it myself. I was told it was $99 for a service call. Upon arrival, I was told re-programming remote controls were $150 regardless of how many were being programmed. They would waive the service fee. It took them less than 15 minutes to set the remote controls. The company insists on doing a complete "safety check" regardless if anything is wrong with your garage door. Then you have to sign off on their portable tablets. With tax it was $160.88 to set 2 remote controls to the garage door and fill in all the paperwork they required. They were done in less than 30 minutes. No, I will not be calling this company again.

I had broken springs repaired11/10/24. Called Precision and was promptly scheduled for repair. Paid $1,300 for the repair. More expensive than I remembered for previous repairs over the years, but I chose not to get additional quotes for repair. Evening of 12/10/24, I came home and closed the garage door. As the door closed, the door came of the tracks and failed to close properly. Upon closer inspection, the door had also pulled at the bracing between the top of the door and the connection to the garage door opener chain. Obviously, I called Precision to get it checked out again. I had also recalled the tech saying he had adjusted the tracks during the initial repair. I assumed as a courtesy. When I chatted online and called directly, I explained prior service and the current issue. I would have expected, given such a recent service and at such expense, I would have been told we will get someone out asap to take a look. Dissapointed that I was obviously chatting with and speaking to a scheduler who was just giving me the next available time. The soonest that would work was days later. Contacted another Company and they came out with hours and got the door functioning again. Icing on the cake was the tech saying I had paid twice what they would have charged to replace the spings. Just left an overall bad feeling
Michael, We regret to hear you were not satisfied with your recent service experience. We would love the opportunity to further address your concerns and have left our contact information to further address your concerns. I got my invoice and it had charges for two spring coatings, and a new chain. It was not relayed to me why I needed two coats and the technician said the garage will be loud because he had to bend a link in the chain. I don't understand why if I got a new sprocket system, chain, and coating for all of those things why it would still be loud. Why if it is a new chain did any of the links have to be bent? I could've bought a new system for less money then the repair

They were timely and fixed the problem, but were deceptive on the pricing. They replaced two belts and two rails and charged me $1400. What they didn't tell me, was they charged $200 per door for "service and maintenance." The technician was at my house just over 1 hour -- replaced the belts and did $400 of maintenance? I've called the office a couple times, but no one has returned the call. I was duped and should of known better. Precision wants you to believe they are a home town vendor, but they have a slick presentation and an opaque pricing strategy.

Called because I had a torsion spring snap. I was told $95 for service fee plus $150-300 for a replacement torsion spring. Ended up with a $1600+ invoice. Go somewhere where they are completely up front on costs before any work is started. I do not recommend this business.

Predatory service technician, Devon, took advantage of my family while I was away. He charged my wife over $2000 for 2h of labor, new springs, rollers, cables, rollers, and (unnecessary) torsion rod for a two car garage door repair. How? By charging a "torsion rebuild package" with a flat price of $1999 on top of the service call charge. Well over 2x what any scrupulous company would have charged for the parts and labor. This company is waiting to take advantage of you.

I would give zero if I could. Quoted $1995 to replace springs and other components. When I asked to just replace springs he said the parts alone would be $1000. So having just replaced springs in our other house for $200 I said we would investigate before going forward Called Wayne Dalton who quoted $560 for upgraded springs with 5 year warranty. The moral of this story is run from Precision.

Be careful, the price that you hear from them is about 50% lower than actual price will be. And once they come they are asking 75$ for visit. Once you realize that it's overpriced you will pay 75$ if you decide to go with other company. In my case I was told that repair is going to cost me up to 389, and I agreed. When technician came he said this price only for one spring (when you do your business and giving the quote to customer, you should give the total cost of repair. Especially if you are saying that you are the best in the area. Also you always suggest to fix 2 springs even if only one has broken, so please just let customer know about it) But NO, you are scheduling an appointment and when technician comes he is saying, no that price was only for one spring and now your total is going to be 620. I called another company explained everything and they gave me a quote for TOTAL repair just 400$. So I had to pay technician 75 $ just for an information, that I need to fix my torsion spring. Really??? I already knew that. Please just tell to the customer truth and don't say any numbers if you aren't sure.
Thank you for your feedback and speaking with our service manager. To add on to what he advised you during your call, the service fee was quoted to you during your call/chat. All of our calls and chats are recorded so we can review them for any issues or errors on our part. It is quoted to everyone as most major service companies have a service fee just to come out, and some don't even waive it. The notes reflect that you were advised the price was per spring. The scheduling department only schedules the appointments. They are not trained technicians and can't tell you if there is anything else going on or see your garage. Our technicians will always do a 25 point inspection and advise you of any current issues and future issues, which is why we provide a good, better, best quote. We let the customer decide what they want to fix based on the recommendation. As for replacing both springs instead of just one, its our company policy to do it that way for safety concerns and its just the correct thing to do for our customers. The reason we do that is because to put a new spring on, you must unwind the old spring and you run the risk of that old spring breaking in the technicians face, or because you are unwinding it and then putting it back, you are causing it to be primed to break sooner and would need someone to come right back out to replace that one too. So because of that, we always recommend replacing both springs at the same time. We are sorry you weren't happy with all of the information provided to you over the phone that was true, but we hope this information and the information from the service manager helped answer any questions or concerns.

Company canceled installation for yesterday, February 20, 2024
We apologize for the issue that having to reschedule your garage door installation may have caused. Per our conversation on Feb 20th, our installer was running behind on his first install and not expected to arrive to your home until later in the evening. The best solution for all parties seemed to be to reschedule for the following day. It is rare that these situations occur, and we apologize that it happened for your scheduled installation.

Needed a fix, a wire snapped and lo and behold they want to replace everything. New in the Holly Springs market. Fix it and you have a customer for life, try and upsell when completely unnecessary and you lose a customer for life! $75 to hear a pitch. Hopeless. Then I fixed it myself with two small parts and 15 minutes!

Buy Beware: Precision will overprice you on garage door services that you go to other garage specialists and get it cheaper, trust me I know. Quoted me $1700 for a broken garage door spring and done for $598 from another vendor and they provided the same warranty on the part and more time with the service warranty and I didn’t have to have a “coupon.” Happy New Year!!

ZERO Stars if I could! We were renovating an old garage. The salesman showed up as scheduled to take measurements, offered product solutions and gave us a quote. We picked a VERY expensive door. At the time, my wife specifically ASKED the question, "do you want to come back and re-measure AFTER the concrete is poured?" Answer, "No." The day before the installation, my wife, a representative called my wife to confirm the installation time. The representative did not state what company she was with, merely started, "we have been talking with your husband, Frank, and we will be there between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. tomorrow." Despite repeated attempts to inform this representative that her husband's name was Craig NOT Frank, the representative repeatedly referred to me as Frank. In closing on this conversation, the representatives states, "you are our first stop tomorrow." My wife asks, so your installer will be here at 8:00 a.m.? Answer, no 8:30, as they will have to load the truck. Installation day: I take the morning off of work to be at the house. 8:30, no one is there. 9:00, no one is there. 10:00 a.m. no one is there and no phone call from Precision Doors. At 10:02 a.m. I call Precision Doors. I happen to get the same representative on the phone that my wife spoke to the previous day. She said the installer is at the shop loading the truck. I questioned her comment from the previous day to my wife. She essentially called my wife a liar. The installer arrived, along with a helper. I went out to the garage, introduced myself and informed him that I am right in the house and that if he had any questions, please knock on the door. At noon, I went out to check on the progress. The installer stated that they would be done in approximately 30 minutes. At 12:30 I went out to check on the progress only to find that the installer and his helper took it upon themselves to bust up my BRAND NEW concrete to get the new rails installed. Now, in all fairness, the previous rail were covered by the concrete company, but there were better solutions than to just smash the concrete. Also, the door did not close fully. His response was "that was the best he could do." The door did not close properly because it was hitting a rafter on the left side as it went up the rails. The reason it was hitting the rails was because it was not measured properly from the beginning. The installer merely slapped the keyless entry on the door frame and handed me the manual. So I have a door that does not go up and has gaps, busted concrete and a keyless entry pad that I have to figure out on how to program. He turns to me and says he "needs final payment." I essentially tell him to leave that I will need to talk to the salesman. Instead of missing 4 hours of work, I missed 7. I spoke with the salesman. I spoke with management/owner. I expressed my concerns. To be honest, it really fell upon deaf ears. We did reach a discounted settlement and I paid the bill in full. Communication was ABSOLUTLEY horrible. The quality of work was terrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone. In 53 years, I believe this may be the second company I ever wrote a review on. Let that sink in.

Called this company last week to get an estimate. Was told it will cost $1300 to repair my spring. Neighbir has the same issue. Contacted the person who replaced hers and it cost me $420 to replace both springs
We are sorry you were unhappy with the pricing provided to you. You were quoted a couple different options by the technician in which the most expensive was a complete high cycle overhaul with powder coated springs, This is a much different scenario then just replacing 2 springs with new builder grade units like you did which the tech did quote you to just replace 2 springs. It is not an apples to apples comparison in the quality of parts and the work being performed. That being said, please reach out in the future should you need any garage door help.
Service: General repairs & installation
The Tech did a good job but the charges were outrageous. $ 403.00 for putting a new small wheel on the door an then put the door back in place. About 30 min of working time. $ 403.00 for 30 min of work is ridiculous. I feel like I was legally ripped off. I will never ever use this Company again. I'm waiting on the owner's reply.
We are unhappy you were unhappy with the pricing. Pricing was discussed before any work was performed. You had a hung garage door off track, and a missing roller. The charges the technician gave you were standard charges for the condition your garage door was in at the time.

Was told on the phone that a Torsion spring repair would be between $150-$300 all in, but they couldn’t quote the exact price until tech shows up. Oh, and the tech costs $75 to show up, but we credit you if you use us. Classic sunk cost fallacy here. Tech shows up and says the part costs $330. Just wasted $75 for a visit.
We are sorry you felt you had a bad experience as we strive to provide 5 star level service to everyone. All calls that come in are recorded to help if there is a communication breakdown during the scheduling and quoting process. After listening to the call, the young lady quoted the service call of $75 that was waived with repair on multiple occasions as that was a specific question you had about the charge. You also asked about pricing which you were given a range which the technicians quote also matched. We are sorry you're unhappy, but the information you were given on what to expect when the technician came out to your home was correct. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Mr. Oliveira, we are sorry you hear you were not happy with your experience with us. All calls are recorded with the call center, and I went back to listen to your phone call when you were scheduling. Around the 2 minute mark of the phone call you were quoted $75 service call fee which would be waived with any repairs done when pricing out the repair work over the phone. Feel free to reach out if you wish to further discuss the matter.
