I have a 20 yr old garage door opener and all door hardware that was installed by Precision Door in Chapel Hill area. I’ve had several service calls for spring replacements and today I had a new belt installed. The technician, Mr McCann was phenomenal. 5 stars + He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and kind. He explained options. Did not attempt to update anything. He was thorough and quick with the belt replacement and maintenance was provided to the rest of my system. I wholeheartedly continue to recommend Precision Door for all my garage door needs. Excellent service, excellent company.

Devin and Ryan arrived on time, assessed the problems-broken spring on one door and loud noise when opening and closing the other door. They provided information and quote to repair the problems and applied available coupons. No up selling. Excellent work! Our home was built in 1994. It had a Genie chain drive garage door opener. After 29 years of noisy but dependable service, we selected Precision to upgrade the system with a Lift Master top of the line belt drive unit. For a premium price, it provided very quiet service and came with a warranty. One year later, it quit working. The service technician quickly identified the problem as a broken or defective wire. No problem, all the wiring was replaced within 30 minutes and I was given a bill for $203. It turns out the installer used the previous 29 year old wiring when upgrading to the new system. Apparently, this a common problem when replacing garage door openers. No warranty credit. Suggestion: When replacing units, replace the wiring and warranty the work. It is a minimal cost item and only takes a few minutes to accomplish. It will also improve customer relations. Both of the service techs were courteous, qualified and efficient.

Had used Precision just over a year ago to replace rollers , bearing plates, etc. on my garage door that was 15 years old. They were quick to reply to my call for service and technician Scotty explained options to me. At that time the motor was still working fine, but went out on me late yesterday afternoon. I called this morning and they gave me a time of 12-4 this afternoon. Tim McRae called earlier but I was at Physical Therapy and returned his call and he was here at 1:30 and explained that the motor needed replacing andwhat would be involved with getting a new one installed today and estimates. After my agreement he got to work right and had me set up by 3:00. A very polite, professional young man and had everything cleaned up and working. Thank you, Tim

First of all, let me compliment your technician, Andy Maynard. He was very friendly and informative. He gave me a couple of good tips for ongoing door maintenance. I really appreciate his help. Secondly, on a different note, I was amazed at how expensive your service has become. My total for a checkup on two doors was over $400 dollars. No repairs were needed or made. Andy was here about 20 minutes. That's $20 per minute. In July two years ago, same doors, same service cost $190. Your price has doubled. I will be reconsidering any checkups in the future and maybe start to get estimates from other door service companies.

Great experience from start to finish. We use our garage as the primary entrance to our home, so the garage door is a high-cycle door. When it failed, I called Precision of Raleigh. The woman who took my request for strand repair was very good, and thorough, and was able to give me an appointment the next day that fit my schedule. John P., the technician that worked on my door was awesome. He knew his craft and was proficient at it. He kept me informed all the way through, and in little over an hour, I had new high-cycle springs, new rod bearings, new rollers, both drums reset, and channels fine tuned. Very satisfied with the results. If you want it done right with quality materials and workmanship, this is the place to have it done.

Our technician was Evan. He went right to work and found the problem. He was very polite and professional and installed a new opener and replaced several parts. He programmed our remotes and downloaded the app to our phone. He made sure we were satisfied and our questions were answered. I got my invoice and it had charges for two spring coatings, and a new chain. It was not relayed to me why I needed two coats and the technician said the garage will be loud because he had to bend a link in the chain. I don't understand why if I got a new sprocket system, chain, and coating for all of those things why it would still be loud. Why if it is a new chain did any of the links have to be bent? I could've bought a new system for less money then the repair
