Precision and, in particular, Greg Gray did a great job with replacing my old garage door opener and, ultimately, the rail for the opener. Greg examined my garage door opener and agreed that the capacitor was shot. Due to the age, he recommended that I just replace the whole motor instead of trying to find and replace the capacitor. Since I already knew the problem, he did not charge me for the visit. I tried and failed to replace the capacitor myself. Greg cheerfully came back out with the new motor and replaced the old one. When it wouldn't reliably close (it would "bounce"), he came back out and replaced the rail--no charge. I could not be more pleased with the professional and friendly service provided.

We had our garage door "tuned up" after our previous service approximately 1 year ago. We liked our Technician (Richard McCann) from our previous service that we asked to have him service our door again. He was on time, courteous, friendly and obviously knowledgeable about his work. I contacted Precision to repair a broken belt drive. The reservation was easy to make on line. There was a 2 hour time window. John Patton called early in that window giving a time of arrival. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He gave me options to replace the belt and rail or the motor and spring as well. I opted for the straight repair. He carried out the repair efficiently and it works well. He also went a step beyond and lubricated all the hinges on our 2 other garage doors. I would definitely use Precision and John again.

Our request for service was scheduled for the same day. We were met by Master Technician Scotty Johnson who has 30+ years experience with garage door openers. It was obvious that he has PhD level skills, talents and knowledge in garage door openers. Within 5 minutes he had diagnosed the problem and would have completed the task on the spot, but for one missing part. The next afternoon he upgraded our 0.5 horsepower motor, which was underpowered for our 311 lb., width door, to a 0.75 horsepower motor. He also upgraded our springs, chain drive, floor level sensors, interior control panel and the exterior code pad. Our new springs are warranted for 25,000 lifts, the motor and drive belt have lifetime warranty protection and all other parts are warranted for five years. Our new Lift Master is quieter, its interior control pad shows the time and temperature. It has a battery powered backup system that allows the door to operate even when the power supply is down. The motor includes a camera that will automatically record videos of garage movement 24/7 and remember the videos for 30 days. The new motor is programmed to our smart phones and our vehicles. Total satisfaction! This fall we are planning to have Scotty install a similar Lift Master system to our other garage door.

Our 25 year old garage door failed late in the afternoon. Precision was able to have someone out to us first thing in the morning the following day. Scotty Johnson, the technician, was thorough and walked us through our options. He offered a repair versus a replacement. But with the age of our system, for only A few hundred more, we opted for a new system and upgraded door and now that’s one thing that’s off my plate for another 25 years! Scotty was clearly knowledgeable and didn’t hard sell upsell. He also “patched” our door so we could get through the next few weeks while the parts are ordered. I highly recommend Scotty as a technician and the company in general.
