I cannot say enough about the technician, Richard, who came to service my garage door today. He came the same day I called and provided great service. He had everything he needed in the truck to get the job completed while he was here. He explained all of the options available for the repair and also explained some things that may need to be addressed in the future with the garage door itself. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him and Precision Door for any garage door services you may need.

Sunday afternoon one of our garage door springs broke, making this rather heavy door inoperable. Called Precision around 5pm (on a Sunday) had a technician on site in a little over an hour. Richard McCann handled our problem quickly. His vast knowledge and eye for detail is a great asset to Precision. He was a pleasure to work for, he did an amazing job at explaining the damage done to my garage door due to a lightning strike. I was very pleased with their responsiveness and the tech that came out (Richard) was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. However, in my opinion, the cost to replace my 2 springs and cables was stupid expensive and I’m kicking myself for not shopping around more. I was prepared to pay a certain price based on the loose estimate I was given over the phone but the options I was given by the tech before the work started easily exceeded that. I should have paid the service fee and gone elsewhere, so shame on me. Looking at the price of the parts on Amazon, which I assume this company gets for the same amount or less from whoever their supplier is, you get an idea of the massive markup and labor that is added in. I felt a bit “screwed” all day yesterday and it was the first thing I thought about this morning so it still stings. Good, quick work for sure as I certainly didn’t want to mess w/ dangerous springs having not worked with them before, so I paid for that, but will definitely shop around next time.

Desperately needed emergency help (residential) well after normal hours to get the garage (2 car) door functioning again. Called Precision at 7:30 pm and was pleasantly surprised to be able to get an appt for 10 pm that very evening. Richard McCann came to the rescue. Richard assessed the situation quickly, provided options to resolve the problems and once a plan was chosen, was extremely efficient in completing the work by midnight ; ( replaced 2 springs, installed new safety cables, new lift motor and track, etc.) Quite impressive , indeed. I highly recommend Precision ( and Richard) for your garage door repair needs.
