I would not use Precision Door Service again. One of the torsion springs broke on our overhead double door. Precision Door Service charged us $750 to replace the pair of springs, which took the technician less than 40-minutes total. When I questioned/ pushed back on the cost, which was about 2x what I expected, the technician told me the springs cost them over $250 each! I later called four other garage door businesses and learned the going rate for this common repair averages $375 total, and our standard springs cost around $100 each. After calling Friday morning, they refunded me $350 to bring their cost in line. I learned from my calling around that this is an often repeated scenario with this company - and the ease and routine manner of the refund bore this out.

Called Precision at 7:00pm for a broken spring on our double garage. They had someone at my house before 8:00pm. The technician (Andy Maynard) was AMAZING. He went above and beyond working with me while I was at work to repair my door. He listen to everything I explained to make sure the repair was completed correctly and to save me money. At first he told me that both springs needed to be replaced $800 and then figured out that the cable/chain jumped the track and only needed adjusted. Thank goodness. Andy was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Andy was absolutely awesome! He came in and looked at the door and was able to tell us what was wrong immediately. Unfortunately our garage door opener was also shot due to the spring breaking. The technician took seconds to look at the garage door and made an immediate assessment that it could not be repaired but needed to be totally replaced. He also implied that the door should not be opened as it was totally unsafe, which pressured us to feel we needed to replace the door. However, we contacted a second company whose technician inspected the door for 15 minutes then gave us a complete breakdown of the problems and gave us an estimate for the repairs. He repaired the door in 70 minutes and the cost was 1/3 of what you quoted for replacement. We felt as though he was honored to serve us and did so professionally and financially. First appearances are very important. Thank you!
