Why garage door spring broke for the 2nd time and they were here in a matter of a few hours. Heavy duty spring replaced and I went ahead and changed out the door opener that had been in since day one (almost 20 yrs). Job well done. From quote to finished install was about a week! Very professional process. They replaced everything (opened, tracks, doors, even the weatherstripping seals outside). No upselling, just service. I chose Precision when I saw their TV Commercial. I called the same day I saw their commercial and Precision sent a technician to my home that day to resolve my problem. Their customer service was outstanding and their customer representative, Scotty, was prompt, extremely courteous, LiftMaster knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions about the system and even programmed my car system to open the garage doors. On a scale of 1-10, Precision rates a 10 without question.

Son in law couldn’t open garage door while we were out of country. Said he may have hit the # sign instead of enter Sign and wondered if he somehow changed code. I had no idea how to change code. The pad worked to close door but just would not work to open with code. Was hoping since I was a long time customer you might have suggested how to check the code or change it back if it had been changed by mistake. Technician looked at it and said the pad looked old and they wear out quickly. But the new one would work with any new motor if we needed one later. Made it sound like a better pad. I said ok to new pad and was totally surprised when the replacement was the exact same as old one and when he told me how to put in the code, he told me to do the exact thing that I told him my son in law said he had done that might have changed the code. So he up sold me to the tune of $284 when he could have simply said try this and see if it works. Give him a star for the up sale, but mark me off as a future customer and I will tell as many people about this as I possibly can. Totally feel victimized!!!!’

Based on the inspection your keypad failed and the recommendation was to replace it. Some keypads we have look the same as the old one but the updated version has updated internal parts that the old one did not, which would, like the technician said, make it work with any future motors you might purchase. We do appreciate your business and hope we can work with you in the future.

Everything went smoothly. Scott solved our issue but we won’t have a final review until new doors are installed.

Having just purchased a home, we found the 16' Garage Door was noisy,and the door opener did not have the capability to link with vehicles. I called Precision to set up service and possibly a new door/opener replacement evaluation. Technician Greg Grey visited the very next day. He was VERY thorough. He showed how when using the manual release, the door was clearly unbalanced (would immediately drop closed instead of remaining at the position set) and the 1/3 HP door opener was set to Max level 10, indicating the springs/rollers were not doing their job. He gave the quote to rebuild the door and replace the door opener with a current 1/2 HP model capable of not only linking with the vehicles but also WiFi enabled via MyQ App. I asked for a quote for a new door and Greg brought in samples of non insulated / partially insulated (core filled with Expanded Polystyrene I believe) / and fully insulated (core filled with Extruded Polystyrene which has a higher R value). As we'd just moved to the neighborhood, we wanted to ensure a new door would match those in the community for looks and style to keep within HOA guidelines. Greg was very patient in helping us through the process and we chose a new Amarr Hillcrest 3000 insulated door with an R value of around 9.05 if I remember correctly. He also installed a new Liftmaster 8355W door opener, helped program the vehicles, and walked me through how to set up the MyQ App on my iPhone 11 and test it. Greg was very thorough, extremely professional, and instilled a sense of trust in us. If you're in the market for a professional team, we'd HIGHLY recommend Precision Garage Door of the Triangle!!!

I chose Precision Door Service from a list of providers recommended from Angie's List. From my selection, Precision Door Service had the most reviews and they were all positive. I called their number and spoke with Tim. He said he could have someone out this afternoon which was great as I was having trouble with one of my sensors. Tim was very professional and personable and happy to help. I then received an email from Precision Door with my appointment confirmation and who the service technician was who would be coming over. The email provided Mike Grove's picture and information so I would recognize him. This was great information for clients. Mike called me to let me know he was on his way. After looking at my garage door he gave me some options for improvement in the operation of the door going forward. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. I decided to go with a door restoration. Mike did the work in the next hour and a half. I could see such an improvement in the door operation and have confidence that this will alleviate worry about the garage door operation going forward. I will contact Precision Door Service for future work. Very impressed with the service I received today from Mike and the company.
