Fast service. I called today to schedule an appointment. They came out in 3 hours. Noticed the issue, fixed it and BAM …. My garage is now going up and down!!! So glad I called

Our double garage door spring broke on Sunday, leaving our vehicle trapped inside. I called Precision Garage Door to get an estimate and schedule a repair. I was told an appointment was available between 4-6 on Sunday and that the cost would be between $250 and $500 to replace the 2 springs. Based on this I booked the appointment. About an hour later the garage door technician assigned called and said that the office overbooked for Sunday and he couldn’t come out until Monday, to which I agreed. On Monday, the technician arrived mid morning and confirmed 1 of the springs was broken. He recommended replacing both springs and the bearings that are adjacent to the springs. He then gave me a firm quote of $1,495. I was shocked the price tripled from what I was told over the phone. So I declined the repair and was told I owed a $100 service fee for coming out. I reluctantly paid the fee and called another company called Ben’s Garage Door. They called me back and confirmed a price of $400. They made the repairs for the quoted price and the door works great. Highly recommend Ben’s Garage Door. As for Precision, they are unethical, and I would not recommend them! #Bait&Switch

I contacted Precision about replacing replace my garage door. Technician came out and inspected door. Measured for a replacement and ordered door. They kept in contact by my preferred method, I chose text. When door came in they contacted by phone to schedule installation. Tech texted when he was near. Tech arrived with door and estimated four hour installation. Door was opened for access and completed in estimated time he explained operation and security features. I set security up. When he was sure door operated well and I understood operation. I was given contact number, manual and remotes. I was completely satisfied.

PGDS is well-organized and responsive. Their answering service picked up, and a technician arrived promptly on a Sunday afternoon. He was professional, polite, efficient, and informative. After one extension spring broke on our single-car Clopay door, they quoted about $1,400 to convert it to a torsion system, or over $2,000 for a new door. The door is about 30 years old, but in very good condition, so we wanted to keep it and replace the springs. We appreciated the prompt, professional service, but we wish they had offered a straightforward repair. We left with the impression that replacing the extension springs wasn’t possible because the parts were unavailable. Another company replaced both springs while keeping the existing system and door for about a thousand less.

The technician promptly diagnosed the issue with my garage door. He showed and told me which parts were fine and what was causing the problem. Loved how the appointment resulted in replacing a part and not the entire door and all its parts. That was a great relief since money is tight. Thank you, Precision, for taking care of me and not attempting to pressure me into more than I needed.

Aaron was very nice, friendly, explained everything he had done, and answered some questions I had. Prompt arrival and finished in about an hour (had an issue beyond routine maintenance.) They were running a special on the check up ($79) and we felt it was worth it. Highly recommend these folks.
